John Bent is a LANL storage researcher who has been heavily involved with the Roadrunner storage system from early planning to intensive troubleshooting during the current installation period. John is also leading LANL's HPC data-intensive computing effort, is developing a virtual interposition file system, is working closely with Panasas to debug and design their parallel file system, is collecting and releasing many parallel IO traces, and is mentoring several graduate student projects. Maya Gokhale has been a computer scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing since 2007. Her career spans research conducted in academia, industry, and national labs. Maya received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983. Her current work is concerned with data intensive computing and reconfigurable computing. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Fellow of the IEEE.

Celeste Matarazzo is a computer scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, currently working on the ASCI (Advanced Simulation and Computing) program. She has more than fifteen years of experience in software development. She is a research program manager and leader of the Data Science research group in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing.
